5 Products Winter Hair Care Routine!!!

Hi Everyone!

Today I am going to share my winter hair care routine using just 5 products.

Product #1: Oil or Anti-Hair fall cream

Winters are always accompanied with hair fall. So I like to prep my hair before I wash them. I prefer oiling or applying some anti-hair fall creme on my scalp 30 mins before I wash my hair. I like using Anti Hair Fall Cream from Himalaya Herbals. It smells amazing and reduces my hair fall after hair wash. It also triples up as a leave-in conditioner or to reduce frizz in my hair. If you are looking for an affordable multi-purpose product, this is the one.

Product #2: Shampoo

I prefer using herbal or mild shampoos for my hair which are SLS and paraben free as my hair are already thin and I don't want to strip my scalp off the natural oils completely. I am obsessed with the herbal Shikakai shampoo from Khadi as it leaves a slight fragrance in my hair, it's gentle and still cleans my hair of all the dirt. You might have to wash your hair twice, in case, you have done heavy oiling. Otherwise, once is enough.

Product #3: Leave-in conditioner + Anti-frizz cream + Heat protector

After washing my hair, I dry my hair using a microfiber towel. When my hair are slightly wet, I apply my BBlunt Climate Control Anti Frizz Leave in Cream from the lengths to the ends of my hair. It gives my hair a nice shine and keeps them manageable when dry. It also protects my hair from the damage caused by any heating tool.

Product #4: Hair dryer

I feel very lazy in washing my hair in winters. The only thing that keeps me motivated to wash my hair in winters is my hair dryer. If you are planning to buy a hair dryer, I'd suggest to invest in a good hair dryer with a high wattage and which has an ionic function because it would dry your hair faster and makes them shinier and less frizzy. I have Braun's Satin Hair 3 Power Perfection dryer - HD385. It's of 2000W and comes with 3 heat settings and 2 speeds. It comes with a cold shot button which works awesome when you want to fix your hairstyle. It comes with 2 attachments - a nozzle and a diffuser depending on how you want your hair to be.
Pro-tip: For voluminous effect, turn your hair upside down, and then blow dry your hair using the nozzle. 😉

Product #5: Aloe vera gel

For those days when my hair are not behaving the best and I want them to be healthy and manageable but still want to avoid oiling. I employ this hack of mixing some aloe vera gel with water and then applying on my hair from the lengths to the ends. I like using natural gel extracted from aloe vera leaves but when I am in a rush or feeling extra lazy, I use the aloe vera gel from Aroma Treasures as it's completely natural and good quality. I use it for massaging my hair to improve the blood circulation.

My quality of hair has improved ever since I have started using just these 5 amazing products. Let me know what products do you prefer in comments below, I'd love to try them.

My Experience with Britannia!

⚠ ⚠ So before I start, a small disclaimer, this is not a sponsored post. All the opinions, products mentioned in this post are purchased by me unless otherwise stated.

I am gonna share my experience with a brand which made me feel empowered as a consumer. I bought 2 packets of Rusk (which is essentially a dry biscuit or twice baked bread) from a local store. This is from an Indian brand called “Britannia”. When I opened the packet, I found that the rusks tasted and smelt burnt. 😞😞

(Watch full video on my Youtube channel)

Now I had 2 packets of it and I just couldn’t throw them away. I decided to give feedback about this to Britannia. (Well not exactly, I just wanted to see if that number on the pack works or not! 😜)
I dialed the number that's written on the back of the packet and I was pleasantly surprised 😮 that the number worked and via the IVRS options, I managed to reach a real support person!
He took note of the quality problem, asked me several questions about my purchase and then assured me that their customer representative will visit me to check the quality of their product.
Now I was impressed, 'cause Man, that number worked. I didn’t really care if the executive visited me or not but I was more worried about my 80 bucks I had spent on buying those 2 packets of burnt toasts.
To my surprise, the executive visited me within 3 days of the call. After verifying the quality issue, gave me a new pack of Rusk (that weren’t burnt…. Yaay 🙋🙋) and a box full of biscuits 🍪🍪 as a goodwill gesture from the company! (woohooo…now who doesn’t love free snacks! 😊)
Pun aside, I was seriously impressed by the efforts “Britannia” put in keeping their customers empowered and gain their loyalty.

I learnt 2 things from this incident:
  1. Always report any issues with the product company via proper channel. They can’t solve something they aren’t aware of. Such complaints help them to keep a tab on manufacturing unit’s quality and performance. Otherwise cases like these may go unnoticed if customers don’t report it.
  2. Always buy 1 pack of food items. In case, the company didn’t have any return policy, you might end up wasting a lot of money on burnt toasts 😀
